Scope of Work: Event Design, Site Coordination & Prep, Vendor Coordination, Graphic Coordination, Audio, Video and Lighting production.
Event Details: Two events took place simultaneously; one at the existing hospital and the other at the site of the new hospital. The hospital site was untouched land so ground filling and leveling all had to be done to make the space usable to host an event. Temporary utilities and infrastructure had to be brought to accommodate the guests. The 500-person guest list included hospital administration, dignitaries and local celebrities. The event space was marked by a 30’ x 60’ hospital rendering printed on scrim and attached to truss arch, a second scrim banner hung from a crane behind the mobile stage marking the exact location of the new hospital. Guests attended a ceremony where custom colored sand was used to represent the turning of the soil. A 120’ x 40’ clear span tent housed a reception following the ceremony. Drone footage captured aerial scenes from the event as multi colored confetti and balloons were released in coordination with a sand-turning ceremony.
Meanwhile at the existing hospital, the lobby was decorated with images of children in hard hats and multi colored balloon décor. Video monitors, set up in the lobby, live streamed the footage from the ground breaking site. Staff enjoyed an interactive graffiti wall photo op and reception.
